Kimberley De Meillon Art

Hi, I'm Kimberley.

I'm a County Antrim artist inspired by the North Coast and the beaches that have shaped many of my happiest memories.

As a mum to two beach-loving boys, much of our time is spent exploring the coastline — rock pooling, collecting shells, chasing waves and heading off on little seaside adventures. I love getting into the sea for a dip too, even if I don't stay in for very long!

Those experiences naturally find their way into my paintings. I'm particularly drawn to changing light, reflections on the water, rugged headlands and the colours of the Irish coast.

I work in mixed media, building layers of paint, drawing and expressive marks. Rather than trying to reproduce every detail, I want to capture the atmosphere of a place and what it felt like to be there.

My paintings are ultimately about places I love — and the memories we make around them.

A young boy standing in shallow water at a beach with sandy shore, facing towards the ocean under a cloudy sky.
A boy and a dog playing on a sandy beach during sunset, with houses and cliffs in the background.
Child sitting on sandy beach, wearing a blue and white striped sweater and a navy blue cap, playing with the sand.
A young child with blonde hair, wearing a colorful dinosaur-patterned jacket, black shorts, and sneakers, walking along a sandy beach with footprints leading behind him. The beach is next to the ocean with waves crashing and a cliff on the left side. The sky is partly cloudy.
